THE DESIGN PROBLEM
“Fun” is not a word that readily springs to mind when asked to describe waiting in line at the airport for TSA screening. But Hawaiian Airlines wanted to add an element of fun to a process that most people stoically endure, while reminding guests and potential guests that Hawaiian Airlines is the airline that knows Hawai‘i best.
THE DESIGN SOLUTION
We added Hawai‘i-themed figures to the TSA barricade in such a way that people standing behind the barricade would appear to “become” those figures.
